Account Executive/Sr. Account Executive

Job Description Summary:
The Account Executive / Senior Account Executive will be responsible for selling Technologent's current portfolio of products and services into a defined territory of Enterprise level Commercial accounts. The primary goal of the AE will be to exceed his/her quota by closing deals with new, strategic prospective customers.
The successful candidate must be a highly self motivated team player that excels in rapidly developing strong prospect relationships & then driving large systems, software & services sales to close. He/she will be expected to take ownership of the target territory and overcome any sales obstacles that arise. As a hunter type AE/SAE you will be responsible to acquire a large, well respected, referenceable customer base.
To be successful, the AE/SAE will provide leadership to a "virtual" team that supports him/her on each opportunity. Team activities range from lead generation, through the positioning of the solution, technical proof-of-concept, scoping of custom deployment & integration, & post sale account management, leading to follow-on sales.
Requirements:
- A rolodex of Fortune 2000 former customers, based in the assigned territory.
- A detailed working knowledge of Technologent's products and services.
- Superb oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lead the detailed process of a complex technology sale & bring sales to closure
- Judgment to qualify a significant number of potential opportunities down to the smaller number that are worth pursuing with significant company resources
- Excellent follow up capacity
- Ability to work strategically and effectively with senior executives at Technologent, OEM's & the prospective customer companies
- Adept at building rapport within the prospective account base
- Must be able to work in a virtual team environment.
- Must be able to work from a home office in remote locations.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of technology sales experience, with a documented track record of exceeding annual quota
- Prior relationships with the OEM community
- Experience selling into large accounts as well as SMB accounts
- A demonstrated ability to assimilate technical knowledge
- Desire to work with a top tier growth technology company and grow with this company (this position is highly visible and the right person will have a very good opportunity for promotion as the company expands)
- Successful candidate will have a four year college degree or equivalent

- Storage HSM/SAN/NAS expertise
- X-86 Opteron expertise
