Technologent and ThinIdentity Corporation Partner to Offer Hospitals Improved Caregiver Workflow Solution
LAKE FOREST, CA, August 10, 2009 - Technologent, a nationwide Solutions Integrator, and ThinIdentity Corporation announced today that ThinIdentity's new virtual desktop architecture solution is available through Technologent. ThinIdentity's solution offers healthcare providers an alternative to current PC architectures which significantly improves workflow for healthcare stakeholders including caregivers, IT staff, and administrators.
ThinIdentity replaces current PC architectures with a dynamic virtual desktop architecture that delivers full desktop functionality over stateless thin client terminals called Sun Rays. With ThinIdentity, caregivers gain access to applications and patient information in seconds from anywhere in the hospital. In addition, as a caregiver moves from terminal to terminal, ThinIdentity's Virtual Location Awareness technology dynamically updates access to content and location-specific functionalities such as printing. As a result, doctors and nurses can increase their productivity by up to 45 minutes per day.
The Technologent team of healthcare specialists have been trained and certified on ThinIdentity's proven implementation methodology. This methodology has been developed to ensure the deployment of highly available, standardized virtual architectures and the full integration of applications into virtual environments. Technologent is a national Executive Level Sun Partner Advantage Program member and has extensive experience with Sun Microsystems' full range of solutions.
"Technologent is a leading provider of IT solutions and the ThinIdentity solution is a match to our core business, which is to use proven hardware and software technologies, along with end-to-end services expertise, to deliver solutions that maximize value, lower costs and improve performance," said Marco Mohajer, Sr. Vice President Sales, Marketing and Professional Services. "We are excited to introduce this revolutionary new solution to hospitals as it promises to improve patient care and reduce hospital operating costs."
"In cooperation with Technologent, we are creating solutions that enable hospitals to improve caregiver productivity, reduce medical errors and embrace electronic compliance requirements as outlined in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009," said Ed Apy, Vice President of Sales, ThinIdentity Corporation. "We are very pleased to be teaming up with a leading company like Technologent to introduce and implement the ThinIdentity solution into hospitals across the country."
